ABOUT ITDAL

ITDAL stands for “Initiative for the Translation and Development of African Languages.” It is a faith-based organization, self-reliant, assisting African languages access God’s Word through Bible translation. Having the word of God in one’s language is the beginning of true development in any community. ITDAL’s target is to see people of every language developing holistically.

ITDAL is duly registered in Nigeria as a non-profit and non-political organization, with registration number CAC/IT/N0118370.

VISION STATEMENT

A competent and self-reliant Bible Translation organization with African languages developed, having access to God’s Word for the transformation of lives to His glory.

MISSION STATEMENT

ITDAL exists to glorify God by working in partnership with churches and communities in Africa to translate the Bible and promote Scripture engagement through training, language development and literacy.

2. Passion: we are zealous to offer services to people who are desiring to have the word of God in their mother tongue.

5. Preservation of language and culture: ITDAL works with Language groups to produce writing systems in order to sustain the language/culture of the people.

7. Project Time Management: we are committed and dedicated to diligent work as unto God with all sense of responsibility to effective time management and completion of projects.
